Altair trained as an auditor and accountant and managed bands in the music industry before establishing several educational institutions each turning over in excess of $2 million annually with around twenty or more staff in each. He was trained and certified by the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of New South Wales back in 2000,  specializing in teenage depression and suicide. He has helped thousands of people around the world in courses, seminars, workshops and individual sessions of meditation, Reiki, mystical teachings and Vedic Soul Astrology for over 30 years. Altair is a trained Reiki Master in the Riki Jin Kei Do lineage under Dr. Ranga Premaratna. He has written best-selling books, appeared on television, radio, newspapers and music shows as the healer of hearts and guided well-known sportspeople, politicians, psychics, musicians, spiritual teachers and communities in the Way of the Light or Jyotish astrological principles. As a student of Paramahansa Yogananda's guru Swami Sri Yukteswar's methods and the Dalai Lama's practices he integrates tantra, awake awareness and kundalini yoga into the path of self-realization through astrology.

 

Altair’s background is varied and eclectic. Altair co-founded three educational institutions and a health and lifestyle television channel, has published ten books including one top ten best-seller, composed three music albums including a single presented to Nelson Mandela on his inauguration and supports Tibetan refugees educational programs. Altair has lectured at universities at Bachelor level in Computer Science and Music and at Masters level in Computer Science and given seminars and workshops in New Zealand, Australia, the USA and Japan. He has been a guest speaker at Microsoft conventions on the subject of mindful practice and technologies.

 

Altair graduated from Auckland and Otago University with degrees in Education and Business and was Certified as a Counsellor with the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of New South Wales in Australia. Altair is also a trained Vedic astrologer and brings practical insights to the life path energies from a Vedic and Tibetan perspective.

He has been writing and teaching meditation techniques for over 30 years.
